The 6 week programme enables children and young people to express their emotions in a positive way, through non verbal art techniques.
During this two day training participants will be invited to use art techniques which enable expressing emotions in a safe manner through non verbal techniques in art intervention. The participant will engage in the programme, through theory and practise. The programme consists of 6 art techniques, which have been carefully considered to stimulate the following learning:
- Acknowledging feelings
- Understanding that feelings are individual
- Verbalising emotions through actions
- Understanding how behaviour impacts others around you
- Verbalising triggers
- Self-regulating emotions
Our programme has been created over 12 years of experience within ASN education and a degree in anthroposophical art therapy. Over 43 schools and organisations across Scotland have used our techniques and implemented our programme.
After completing this course the participant will be able to use the 6 week programme and implement it in their workplace. Please note, the programme is only to be delivered by participants of this Apply Your Arts training – it is not to be used to skill share. This is not a ‘train the trainer’ event.
Included in the price is a specialist pack of materials worth £50, all hand outs, Apply Your Arts 6 weeks programme planner and cold drinks with sweet on the day.
